Transportation and Accommodation

McMaster University is located in the city of Hamilton, Ontario, approximately one hour South West of Toronto, along the coast of Lake Ontario. McMaster is situated in the West end of the city in the neighbourhood of Westdale. Maps of the campus are located here: The conference will take place in the Council Chambers in Gilmour Hall (Room 111) and in Kenneth Taylor Hall (Rooms 104, 106, and 109).



Toronto Pearson International Airport (Mississauga, approximately 45 minutes drive from downtown Toronto)

Billy Bishop Airport (Downtown Toronto) (there is an express bus that runs every 10 minutes from Billy Bishop to Union Station. A taxi will cost approximately $10)*

Getting to the Reading Event at The Staircase Theatre

The Staircase Theatre is located one block north of King and Dundurn Streets. There is parking available behind the theatre and on the side streets surrounding it. For more information, see the directions on The Staircase Theatre website.

If you are taking public transportation to The Staircase Theatre, from McMaster board the 1A King, 51 University, or 5C at the stop on the north side of the McMaster Divinity College, on Sterling St. heading toward Forsyth Ave. Disembark from the bus at the corner of King and Dundurn. Cross the street toward Fortinos grocery store and continue north on Dundurn toward the theatre.



You can find affordable on-campus accommodations through Hotel McMaster (see pictures below). Hotel McMaster reservations will open for the summer season at the beginning of March. Book early as spaces are limited.
